Swan Hunting in Hyde County, near the famous Lake Mattamuskeet

When we go for swans, we go to the grain fields that surround Lake Mattamuskeet Wildlife Refuge where we hold the largest concentration of tundra swan on the Atlantic Flyway.  The fields we use are on one of the few flyways coming off the lake.  I have hunted these fields for 20 years with perfect success bagging swan every time. The equipment we use is in excellent condition.  Our decoys are full bodies along with shells.  Our blinds are 10', roomy enough for three hunters and the guide.

Most of the swan we bag are decoying and within 40 yards.  Our swan hunting is excellent, second to none. Our success rate has been 100% since 1984 when the swan season first opened in North Carolina.

Swans are taken by Permit ONLY!

Permits are easy to obtain but must be applied for by October 1.  Permits can be applied for as early as July 1.  Do not wait, you may be left out.  (If applying by mail, send registered mail or you can call the number listed below.)
